Behind EssentialCare, there's a plan administrator hard at work for you. EssentialCare is administered by PAI, a third party administrator that has provided flexible and dependable service for more than 25 years. PAI is extraordinarily committed to providing service, both for plan members and for employers.

PAI will support the enrollment process with the mechanism that works best for your employees: paper application, Internet, or interactive voice response (IVR) enrollment. Additionally, PAI supplies employee communication materials, provides COBRA and HIPAA compliance support, collects premium via electronic payroll deduction, and of course, provides claim processing and customer service. As part of its service-oriented environment, PAI also provides Spanish-speaking representatives for customer service and claims questions. Essential communications and forms are also available in Spanish.

24-Hour Online Access

PAI provides HealthWeb StatusLink, which gives EssentialCare members access to their health information 24 hours a day, seven days a week. On the HealthWeb StatusLink Web site, plan members can check the status of their claims, read Explanations of Benefits (EOB), check deductibles and look at plan documents. Because it's password protected, members know StatusLink is confidential and secure.

EssentialCare members can access their prescription coverage information online through the secure Caremark Pharmacy Network Web site. Members can refill prescriptions, look up drug coverage and pricing, locate a network pharmacy and research health and wellness information, all at their fingertips.
